Bert Becker

After completing my studies in business economics, I started working at an accountancy firm, while studying law at the VU in the evenings. Immediately after obtaining my master’s degree, I started my own law firm in Amstelveen. In 2011, I set up law firm Siebert & Becker in Haarlem together with Janthijn Siebert, which continued under the name HAUT Legal as of 1 March 2020.

My speciality is the combination of knowledge of law and figures. This means that as a lawyer I can properly assess and understand figures. Annual accounts and tax returns hold no secrets for me. This background helps we work on cases such as the following:

• claims or defences relating to liability claims against accountancy firms and tax consultants;
• assistance and advice relating to audits by the Tax and Customs Administration;
• objections and appeals in tax assessments and decisions on liability claims;
