Alexander Claus

I have been a lawyer since 2004. I have experience in business law, insolvency law and labour law. Good legal, pragmatic advice typifies my work.

I have extensive experience in advising and conducting legal proceedings for entrepreneurs. As a businessman myself, I know what goes on in companies and what challenges entrepreneurs face. I not only advise on the legal pitfalls, but I also have a thorough understanding of the commercial opportunities that present themselves.

In addition, I support and advise various non-profit foundations.

Insolvency law has my special interest. I am regularly appointed by the Court as an insolvency practitioner and administrator, helping to restructure and relaunch many companies that find themselves in financial difficulties.

I am part of the German Desk at the office. I speak fluent German and have advised many German-speaking clients in Dutch law and assisted them in various proceedings in the Netherlands. I also have extensive experience in advising Dutch clients on various international insolvency-related procedures.

In addition to insolvency law, I also feel at home in labour law. I have experience in assisting employers and employees in labour and other conflict situations.

I have completed the Postgraduate course in Insolvency Law at Grotius Academy and the Postgraduate course in Financial Economics for Insolvency Practitioners at Erasmus University. I am a member of Insolad, the specialist association of insolvency lawyers. In addition, I have completed the Postgraduate Course in Employment Law (PALA) at Erasmus University and I am a member of the Board of Representatives of the Netherlands Bar Association.
